Responsibilities:
You join a team of 35 tech sassy Internet of Things and Sensor Technology engineers. Partnering with your hiring manager, you:
Convert complex sensor data into robust, scalable, and secure backend architectures.
Architect scalable data platforms and deliver end-to-end analytical solutions.
Optimize ETL processes and improve data quality through effective data cleansing and enrichment techniques.
Improve and automate consistently the software performance by spotting potential problems and suggest solutions.
Use Grafana to implement alerting mechanisms to detect data anomalies, track data quality KPIs, and enable data-driven troubleshooting.
Mainly work with Python, Airflow, Docker, Bash, Linux Command Line, C/C++, Grafana.
Sometimes you support field operations across Germany by acquiring sensor data on site and validating the technology through controlled field trials.
Your profile:
Due to to security regulations for this role, you have to hold citizenship of an EU Member State.
Minimum 5 years full-time work experience as a software or systems engineer.
Minimum 2 years of full-time work experience working in data engineering.
Fluent in Python.
Ability to work with Airflow and Docker.
Experience with bash scripting and the Linux command line.
You were involved in the design, implementation, migration, deployment, observability, monitoring of a production system.
You know how to visualize metrics, logs, and traces from various data sources using e.g. Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry or similar.
Fluent in English, any other spoken language is a plus.
Passion for IoT and defense.
Happy to support field operations across Germany 5-25 days per year.
Ideally some experience with C/C++.
